The purpose of a curtainsider is to combine the security and weather resistance of a box van with the loading ease of a flat bed.
The curtainsider comes available in various configurations; single or double deck, straight or step frame, and it is able to transport most stock, making it a very popular choice.
Curtain sided vehicles are able to be loaded or unloaded by forklift or using the tail lift on the vehicle with the aid of a pallet or pump truck.
Flat Bed Lorries
If you wish to load or offload your delivery on site by using a crane, the flat bed lorry is perfectly designed to allow you to do this.
Flat bed lorries are ideal if you know the drop off point is far from where you need the supplies to be. Like curtain sided lorries, flat beds are particularly useful if you need a crane, telehandler or forklift to be able to get to your supplies without you having to unpack everything else first. Flat bed option are brilliant when time is tight and supplies are precious.
If you are transporting goods that are vulnerable to the elements, then you can rest assured that they will be safe. Our drivers will:
- Sheet the items if necessary
- Strap the crates to the lorry to ensure security
- Strap any items not in crates to the lorry
